UNITED KINGDOM: Lancaster Events

www.lancasterevents.co.uk

This year the United Kingdom celebrates two hugely important events – the Olympics, the second time that they’ve been hosted by London – and the remarkable 60th anniversary of the reign of HM Queen Elizabeth II. Quite different, yet both showcasing what’s GREAT about BRITAIN and successfully laying the foundation for your next international event.

Showcasing four countries and four distinct cultures (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), all embraced by the Union Jack, is unique to the United Kingdom. A successful blend of contrasts -- in-your-face fashion and nerve jangling music sitting happily alongside the elegance of stately homes (like Downton Abbey!) and wonderful live theater serving to define the English language. It’s great cuisine showcased by extraordinary British chefs like Gordon Ramsey, Jamie Oliver, Rick Stein and many others providing gourmet dining, to fish and chips, to Haggis, to Leeks, to afternoon tea! Common to all four countries is the passion of the beautiful game (of soccer) but singly unique is the Welsh Male Voice Choir, the Lone Scottish piper in his resplendent kilt, the English garden and in Northern Ireland the Giants Causeway and the Glens of Antrim to name but two.

The rich variety of hotels, venues, conference and event facilities in London, unquestionably one of the world’s greatest capitals, is mirrored in the capitals of the other three countries -- Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast. And in-between there are the regional hubs like Birmingham, Manchester, Harrogate, Glasgow and Aberdeen, all with multi-million dollar, state of the art conference and meeting facilities. For special events or final night dinners there are stately homes and magnificent castles, like Leeds Castle dating back to 850,  originally called Lady’s Castle and Hever Castle, where Anne Boleyn, King Henry VIII’s second wife, grew up.

The Lancaster Events team prepares creative, customized programs and events to match the client's brief and budget. From concept to completion, each event receives a highly personal approach backed by a strong and dynamic team of experienced event managers.
